Q. How does your Dura Lock system compare to other systems?
A. The most important aspect to consider when choosing a foundation repair company is deciding who has the strongest piling reinforcement, or in other words, what goes down the middle of the cylinders to keep them aligned.
Our Dura Lock system is the only piling reinforcement system awailable that actually Connects and Tensions each and every cylinder as they are driven into the ground. This guarentees proper alignment, ensuring that the optimum amount of "skin friction" is attained.
In addition, as our Houston soil continues to shrink, swell, and shift with the ever changing moisture content, only the Dura Lock system is permanently locked into place. The end result of our superior engineering techniques means that our bolted together pilings have the least amount of warranty maintenance in the industry.
Q. How does your warranty compare to others?
A. A photo-copy of our simple, one page, Lifetime Transferable Warranty, is included in our brochure. Our warranty has no voiding clauses in it, as many others do, has no transfer fee or time restrictions, and contains no hidden "service agreement" provisions to charge you more money later.
Q. Does Dura Pier use any subcontractors or day-laborers?
A. NO. NEVER. All of our staff are full-time, clock-in, fully insured employees.
Q. Speaking of insurance, how much do you carry?
A. We carry $1 million of both general liability and workmans compensation insurance for you protection.
Q. How does having your own master plumber on staff help me?
A. Our master plumber provides full service sewer testing and repair capabilities, and if there is a repair needed, you will recieve only one warranty, covering both the foundation repair and the sewer repair. We don't play the blame game later on if there is a problem with either repair. Having only one company for both repairs will also save you money, and avoid scheduling conflicts.
Q. Do you have an engineer??
A. Yes, we maintain a full-time, on staff civil engineer. He reviews projects, secures permits, and provides the certified record of the final depth that each and every piling attained, and what total hydraulic pressure it took to hold the structure securely at the depth-of-refusal.
Having a permanent, certified record, of the depths and pressures can allay any fears that potential fututre owners may have about the quality of your repair, and can also give you extra peace of mind.
Q. If I need interior pilings, who is responsible to protect the interior of my home, carefully remove and re-install my wood floors, re-stretch my carpets, adjust my sticking doors, and repair the cracks in my brick and mortar?

Q. How many days will it take to complete the work, including all the clean-up?
A. Most jobs are completed in 1 to 5 days, depending upon the number of pilings, and the weather.
